About
I was born in New York and moved to Oregon with my parents when I was 12 years old. Prior to coming to Thailand I lived on my sailboat Discovery for 7 years in Astoria, Oregon. I came to Thailand as a CAD design and production engineer for an American toy company. I have lived in Thailand for a little more than 6 years. My wife of 4 years is a Thai English teacher. I've had many careers that include; working in the woods; commercial salmon fishing in the North Pacific; lumber mills; machining; CAD design and solid modeling; and technical writing. For the last 5 years I worked as an English teacher in Thailand teaching high school freshman and seniors. I have done extensive public speaking here at English seminars for teachers, administrators, government officials, OTOP, and the police. I am now retired from teaching. I have launched a new caeer as a writer/publisher.
I've been writing all of my life but got serious 4 years ago. My two Books are titled: "When Elephants Walked Backwards", which is based on a Thai idiom about marriage, and "Phra Jan", which is my version of a Thai myth about the origins of the moon.
